SilverSneakers Calls for 2020 Instructor of the Year Award Nominations

CHANDLER, Ariz.  – (March 2, 2020)SilverSneakers® by Tivity Health®, the nation's leading community fitness program designed for seniors, today announced a call for nominations for its 2020 SilverSneakers Instructor of the Year Awards. This distinguished recognition honors fitness instructors who have made a lasting impact on the lives of SilverSneakers members. The awards are designed to showcase how SilverSneakers instructors help members get active and stay active at more than 18,000 locations.

This year's recognition plans to build upon its most successful campaign to date in 2019, when we received more than 4,500 nominations representing more than 1,200 instructors across America. The call for nominations is open through March 13, 2020. Nominations can be submitted to silversneakers.com/instructorawards. Peers, class members, fitness location staff, or instructors themselves are invited to submit their nominations. A SilverSneakers committee will review nominations, and the winner and four finalists will be announced in April.

"Each and every day, SilverSneakers instructors go the extra mile to make their classes the best experience possible, and this coveted award recognizes these individuals who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our members," said Steve Janicak, Healthcare Business Unit President, Tivity Health. "Our instructors motivate, encourage and inspire our members to live their best lives, and they strive to create a welcoming environment that promotes physical activity and builds social connections and lasting relationships.
